facts about myslef that ive realsized after this summer term:

• im horrible at responding to emails/facebooks and updating my blog
• i love love taking pictures of all our play dates
• i dont have as much will power as i thought
• tv isnt as esential in college as people make it seem
• the verb play is an ageless term for getting together with friends and just, well, playing
• im not as good at keeping up with my homework without reminder as i thought i was
• im horrible at waking up on my own (something ive known for forever though)
• i like taking a snooze outside every once in a while
• i make myself busy so that i can ignore things that i need to do
• i miss my family a lot more than i lead on
• i love living in AZ, i miss the dry heat
• its so much fun making a new friend every day
• going to bed early helps me to wake up early - duh

im in english calss and were researching our topics for our research paper thats due in week!

im writing on why cleft palate non profit organizations need to advertize to get money and recognition. yayy cleft palate volunteers!!

the dorm

physical science is killing me!! its not that its a hard class, its just that it takes time to do the work and all the readings, and im just on the busy side right now!! haha sleep will help though -- im kinda lacking that aspect of my attention span right now!! =] ahhh college. love it.

i miss home! i miss my family but ill see them in a few days. i miss my ctr 5 kids and my team teacher....but i did see sister smith walking around campus today; i almost wrecked but had a friend in the car - obviuosly were still alive ahaha. i miss my friends a lot too. i try to chat with them when they text or whatever but i barely have time to talk to my mom!! ((sorry mom and family)) just know that i love you so so much and cant wait to be home! i cant imagine what itll be like in a few months when it gets cold here...

haha the other day one of my friends said that its soo hot here - it was around 91*! i was thinking how beautiful the whether was! anyway, i kinda chuckled =]

• i got my first english essay back yesterday: 91/100! not bad for a first paper
• i also took my first test in college ever: ill just say that Fantastic was not what i got. =/

no need to worry though!! i know what i need to do to pull it up! im a good student, just have faith haha

lets see, oh, i made my first real dinner last night: lasagna hamburger helper w/ meat, beans and corn --- MMMmmmmm!!!!! it was SO SO good. im glad i pay attention to what my mom cooks as i eat it even thought i never actually did the cooking. i learn through example i suppose =D

ok, now that ive done my best to do a mini update, back to reading my science book!! yay college.

i know, im the worst at keeping up with this blog but if it makes you feel better im happy being so busy. =] its kind of who i am isnt it? haha im always up to something or have some type of project to finish or get started.

well, we went on our leadership retreat this past week to yellowstone and i couldnt have had a better first week as a freshman. i learned so many things and feel like i really belong here! im only just beginning my BYU experience and already ive made at least 30 great friends. =] im just one happy camper

i would upload a bunch of pictures to show how cool the entire experience was, but my internet wont let me... just look on my facebook, its all there

ok so i definatly dont have time to write something fancy and super indepth about my time here so far --- a whole 3 days!!! ---- but i can say that i love being here!! i miss home and i miss my family and my ward and jsut EVERYONE, but im meeting so many new people and im smiling ALLLL the time!!!! haha =D ahh i just already love being here!! class starts in 7 hours haha and i need to go to bed however, i will say really quick that im giving a talk on prayer next sunday in my new ward, BYU 81st ward, and i had a new friend ask if i was engaged today because of the ring i wear on my RIGHT, i reapeat RIGHT, hand haha. pictures will be up soon, ive just been too busy to upload them all. maybe tuesday.... OH!! and im in BYUSA! wo hoo!! im an executive director and this week we have our leadership camp where well be staying in yellowstone and heading over to byu=idaho to meet their BYUISA haha i love it!! i miss you i miss you i miss you, but if it means anything, im already having a wonderful time here, always thinking of home but feeling so happy to be on campus <3

im officially a utahrd. we drove all day yesterday from 8 to 8, 11 hours exactly [[theres an hour time difference -gotcha]] anyway, i drove from vegas up here to nephi. it so beautiful up here despite that its been raining on and off again this weekend.

its not entirely hitting me yet that im growing up. im in college now one week from tomorrow!!!!! ahhhhh. and the song im listening to right now is on my play list, 'My Little Girl' by Tim McGraw, and its just a perfect theme song for me right now. i miss my dad... a lot. hes not up here becuase hes at home with my sister whos going on Treck this week [[LUCKY!! I LLOVEE TRECK]] and he has to work. =/ aw man, im tearing up.

when i was little and i would cry id get all upset and say "Mom!!! theres cry all over my pillow!!!" even though it was ME who was being a silly kid i still love that about myself. anyway, i get cry all over my pillow a lot lately becuase i miss being home.

today was tough, my first sunday away from my ward, my class, my friends, my home... its nice being here but next week ill be in my new student ward!! i hope ill have some cool people in my FHE group. i was lucky enough to hang out with a few of my best friends the day before we drove up, so heres some basic pics, (and yeah, theyre all guys, how typical of me i know.)

there were just so many funny ones we couldnt stop!!! and once we all get laughing, well theres just no ignoring us. mom was too embarrased by our goofyness to take some pics with us, however, she was about to pee her pants from laughter =D
